Diva nació en Francia en 1972 de una padre italiano y una madre vietnamita. Vive y trabaja en Barcelona. Ha estudiado diseño gráfico e ilustración. En 2000, decide desarrollar un estilo totalmente personal y se encamina hacia un arte más contemporáneo. Hoy su trabajo se expone en varias galerías de Europa y Estados Unidos ( como por ejemplo, Espace Cultural Ample, en Barcelona; Lacda Art Center, en Los Angeles o la Strychnin Gallery, en Berlin). Ha colaborado también con varias marcas (como Swarovski o Nike) en proyectos puntuales. En París, su trabajo fue elegido por los arquitectos de La Défense para vestir el famoso centro Quatres Temps


A traves de su recorrido se pueden entrever las múltiples vías y soportes que ha utilizado: la calle, galerías, recintos públicos que acogen stencils, pintura, imagen digital, collage, instalaciones y multimedia.


Las obras de Diva se caracterizan por un cuidado casi excesivo y un perfeccionismo en la calidad. La artista trabaja la sombra, la oscuridad a través del destello de la luz. Siempre ha habido en su obra una fuerte influencia de lo orgánico y lo vegetal. De la pureza y belleza inherentes a la naturaleza.

Pájaros y mamíferos humanos con conducta de insectos y humanoides hibridados con vegetación aérea y acuática. Seres solitarios, seres apareados y seres comunitarios. Entes que se desdoblan, etéreos y terrenales a la vez. Fosilizados, nutridos de la materia del mundo, enraizados con la superficie o la atmósfera, como extensiones de la naturaleza esencial en flujo perpetuo. Espectros luminosos, matéricos e intangibles, que existen y son posibles en función de su sensitiva luz interior, de titilancia vinculante que les permites ser y ser vistos. Una vez más, Diva, para quien la corporeidad es una narrativa en sí misma, nos ofrece delicadas y complejas imágenes digitales con efectos visuales propios de lo pictórico. Conjugando la mística extrañeza de sus paisajes y la elegancia y sensualidad de sus criaturas fantasma-espectro, nos propone nuevas visiones, oníricas y metafísicas, de otras naturalezas en posibles mundos paralelos. Diva was born in France in 1972 from an Italian father and a Vietnamese mother. She lives and works in Barcelona. She studied graphic design and illustration. In 2000, she decides to develop a totally personal style orientated to a more contemporary art. In the present her work is exposed in several art galleries around Europe and United States ( Espace Cultural Ample, in Barcelona; Lacda Art Center, in Los Angeles; Strychnin Gallery, in Berlin). She has collaborated with firms like Swarovski or Nike in punctual art projects. In Paris, her work was chosen by the architects building La Défense to dress the famous Quatres Temps center.


Travelling through her work, multiple techniques and supports which she has used, can be appreciated: the street, galleries, public places which host stencils, paint, digital images, collage, installations and multimedia.


Diva’s work is characterized by being extremely meticulous and perfectionism. The artist works the shadows, the darkness through the light sparkle. Hers works also have a strong organic and vegetal influence which inherent pureness and beauty of nature.

Human birds and mammals which behave like insects, and humanoid hybrids donning aerial and aquatic vegetation. Solitary beings, mating beings and communal beings. Entities which unfold, ethereal and earthly at the same time. Fossilised, nourished by the matter of the world, rooted in the surface of the atmosphere, like an extension of the essential nature of perpetual flow. Bright spectres, both material and intangible, which exist, and are possible, by depending on their inner sense of light, their vibrant bind which allows them to be, and to be seen. Once again, Diva, for whom the corporal state is a narrative in itself, offers us delicate and complex digital images, incorporating visual effects typical of something pictorial. By combining the mystical strangeness of her landscapes with the elegance and sensuality of her ghostly creatures, Diva puts forth new, dreamlike, metaphysical visions, from other natures in possible parallel worlds. // Alex Brahim, ( fragments)
